I ordered two of these for two iPhones. Installation was easy. (I used an video tutorial). The kit came with every thing I needed to get the job done. It only took 30 minutes for each phone, most of that time was removing the old glass. Both phones have been repaired for about a month now and I have had no problems. I saved about 225 bucks if repaired at the apple store, and about $150 at other places. A little patience and this the best deal around.

I ordered this kit not knowing if I would be able to make this repair, but I was able to successfully change the screen without damaging anything. I followed the video on [...]. I think with a little patience and the ability to follow instructions almost anyone could make this repair. It did take me about an hour to complete the whole thing but so far everything is working as it should.
The tools that come in the kit work well. The screw driver is magnetic and I didn't have any problems with it stripping the screws. The only tools that you actually are the suction cup, the screwdrivers, and one of the pry tools. I'm not sure why they include the guitar picks. I didn't use those at all.
The hardest part of the repair was getting the glass screen off of the frame. I heated it up, but still had to work to get it off. The video I used also included a warning about how to go around the home button to avoid damaging it.
The only difference I noticed after the repair is on the sides of the phone. The adhesive provided is only for the top and bottom and it leaves the sides slightly loose from the frame since there is no glue there. I don't think it is enough to cause any problems. Maybe someone could recommend some type of glue to use along the sides of the frame.

Changing the screen was going to cost between $99-$40. Zeetron came up with the DIY $20 kit, the wait was worth it. Great kit, some redundancy in tools, fantastic instructional youtube videos, I bought the product several weeks ago. My first impression was I would need more than an hour; I would need a backup phone if the effort fails. This Fourth of July I decided to get independence from the cracked screen. Changing the glass was a breeze. Everything went well. You deserve 5 stars for the effort.
Make a PowerPoint presentation and the step-by-step will be even easier.

Best price you will find on a replacement glass kit anywhere. Kit comes with all the tools you'll need to perform the repair (other than a hair dryer to heat up the adhesive to remove the broken glass from the iPhone you are repairing). Highly recommend to anyone looking to replace their own shattered glass screen on an iPhone 3G.
Docked one star for the quality of some of the included tools, I broke the pry tools trying to pry the screen out of my phone. Several were included, but after breaking one and bending another I opted to use my own tools to pry the screen out.
